Summarizing with Wordle

During social skills groups this week students practiced expressing appreciation. We created a wordle to summarize our lists of people and things in our lives that we are thankful for. This is definitely a practical application of technology to enhance learning in the classroom.

  1. Nice Wordle Karen - how many students did you have working on this? Did you print it out for them?

  2. During our social skills group four students brainstormed lists of people and things that they were thankful for, and then we typed in the list on the Wordle website. After the class, I printed out one copy to post in our room. In future I will print out additional copies for students to use as visual aids to remind them to use taught pragmatic strategies or social skills.
